一.otherwise用作副詞，表示用別的方法，不同地；

　　二.otherwise用作連詞，表示否則，要不然；

　　You'd better go now, otherwise you'll miss the train.

　　你最好現(xiàn)在就走,要不然就趕不上火車了。

　　你應該更加小心,要不然你會出事的。

　　三.otherwise用作形容詞，表示不同的；

　　The truth is quite otherwise.

　　實情大有出入。

　　四.otherwise than 除…之外

　　unless otherwise stated 除非另作說明...

　　but otherwise 但在別的方面卻...
