rather的用法：

　　1、用作副詞：很，頗，在很大程度上

　　It’s rather difficult. 它相當(dāng)難。

　　I was rather angry at what he said. 我對(duì)他說(shuō)的話相當(dāng)生氣。

　　This carpet’s getting rather old now. 這塊地毯現(xiàn)在很舊了。

　　2、(用于比較級(jí)之前表強(qiáng)調(diào))…得多，還要更

　　The weather was rather worse than I had expected. 天氣要比我預(yù)料的還壞。

　　The problem was psychological rather than physiological.

　　問(wèn)題是心理方面的而不是生理方面的。

　　3、(用于too之前表強(qiáng)調(diào))太：
